A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy
“A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy” is a comedy about love, passion, and metaphysics. It was inspired by William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and Ingmar Bergman’s “Smiles of a Summer Night”. The plot takes place at Andrew’s, a homegrown inventor’s, mansion. Andrew works at the stock exchange. He also faces problems in relation to his beloved Adrian. Moreover, Andrew’s friend, Maxwell, together with his randy nurse partner, Dulcy, and cousin Leopold with his fiancée, Ariel, are staying at the mansion. As the story develops, it becomes apparent that everyone has their secrets and sexual needs which lead to peculiar swaps among the couples. Also, the protagonists learn something about themselves, about love, and about the soul.
